栗林公園(秋)- Ritsurin Park (Fall)

On a recent weekend, Ryan, Jasper, and myself decided to go to Ritsurin Park.  This is a famous Japanese-style garden that was created hundreds of years ago.  It is immaculately maintained and when combined with the fall colors was well worth going to.  Both Ryan and Jasper had been before, but the different seasons offer varying experiences.  There were a number of fantastic views with some really nice scenery.

This picture probably did the best to capture the natural beauty of the area.

This picture of dead plants looked nice to me, for some reason.

This is a nice shot displaying the type of gardens here.  All are very beautiful.

The last thing of note were the Koi, basically nice looking carb.  The ones at this park were borderline enormous and there was one feeding station in particular where they liked to gather.  This is a short clip of feeding the fish that may give some idea as to the feeding frenzy they can create.  Justice isn’t really shown here, though, as there were in reality about 5X more off camera, and they would almost push other fish out of the water while going for the food.  They had these vacuum type mouths that were creating sucking sounds at the surface.

By this time, the sun was starting to set, so we decided to get home.  It was a really beautiful place for sure, and I was glad to have the chance to see it.  If people were ever to visit, I think it would be one of the places I would take them to.
